This is the the Type 14a Hebmüller with the lowest body number! The first owner was Walter Richter, a film producer in the Bavaria Filmstudios. He had a lot of trouble with his new Hebmüller. His VW dealer had a lot of discussions with the Hebmüller factory because of the quality. Lutz Jansen found the Hebmüller in the 70ies in a gravel pit. In December 1980 he sold the car to Traugott Grundmann. On the second christmas day, Traugott had some trouble with his wife. He drove with his son Christian to Mr. Jansen, and picked the car up. The car came with its original papers. The number 5 is a pre series car. You can see at several things, that all is handmade, like the air intakes above the engine decklid. Traugott restored the car in his garage at home. The Type 14a on the famous picture with Liselotte Hebmüller is Heb number 5! (CM)
