The Hebmüller was long time known as Heb 14-00122. When the owner bought the Hebmuller years ago, he also got some parts from the previous restoration - repair. One of these parts was the original front part with the body number stamped it. . The car was restored complete yearsn ago and at that time, the wrong front and rotten parts were cut out, All possible NOS sheetmetal was put in the body druing the resto. Lot of those parts are from a younger period and was used because he had them and correct parts were low on the market. (pre internet periode ) The original front was forgotten but not trown away. It was stored in his parts collection. Some time ago, we received a pict from that original front parts from long time ago.. Research had already shown that body number 14-00122 was not fitting the december chassis number. So we searched where this front part could fit and wound out the pict came from Austria, we contacted the owner in Austira. and got confirmation that the Heb in his hands, known as Heb 122 was actualy Heb 14-00282. So how this car got the body number 14-00122? Well, the Hebmüller aufbau plate is stamped with the serial number 19186 -0112 and below that 1949. THe owner tought 0112 was the body nr but that is in fact the date of production , 1st of december 1949. PS.
