This Heb is one of 300 imported Type 14A from the Swiss VW distributor AMAG. The first owner was a doctor from Zurich Switzerland. In 1957 the new designed VW dashboard came out. He liked it so much, that he decided to install it in his Hebmüller to have a modern car. He also installed a large PVC rear window in the roof and painted the car in white. Fritz Leutwyler bought the car from him in 1965. The young mechanical engineer Fritz put a Judson Supercharger on the original engine. He also installed a Porsche 356 break system and gave the car a ralley painting. After a short time the engine was damaged, and Fritz changed the old engine against a 34 hp VW engine. In 1990 he restored the car completely. The new roof got an original rear window, which Fritz got out of an original Hebmüller roof from a scrapyard. In the nineties he visited some Swiss VW meetings. After 51 years in May 2016 he sold the car to Germany. (CM)
