Type 14A

According to the German Title that came with this Heb we can  provide some history. It is however unclear that this title goes with the original  chassisnumber as it does not stroke with the built dates.

The car was used with the licence plate UNR 553 black plate. It was bought from a preacher South of Sacramento, CA. One of his church members had passed away in the mid '60's and the wife was very up in years so she sold it to this preacher. The buyer flew down and bought the car from him in 1992 and got on the freeway and just drove her home. Took 3 days but was pleasent as always in a Heb. After a couple of years, it was sold to Loren Pearson who restored the car from basket case to complete body took 2 years for the bodywork by Bill Cook and documented in HotVW’s and Dune buggy’s magazine. The heb was sold sold to Dick Christensen who finished it in 1998. One year later, he took it on the Fatherland tour with some other VW guy’s.They drove trough the whole USA from West coast to East coast, put the cars in containers and landed them on the mainland. In June 99, they visited the Famous Bad Cambers meeting. (PS)
