A friend of Traugott Grundmann found this Hebmüller in Monau/ Staffelsee in 1982. After his holidays he told Traugott about it. Traugott went there and bought the car. The Hebmüller was used as a large flower pot, standing in a front garden! The chassis of the car was completely rotted. He restored the car in his small garage and used the chassis from his wifes beetle. He installed many badges and accessories on this car. In October 1985 Traugott visited with his Hebmüller convertible the meeting of the Brezelfenstervereinigung in Wolfsburg. A car collector couple from the Cologne area visited also the meeting with their oval beetle. They both felt in love with Traugotts' Heb and begged him three days to sell them the car. On sunday evening the new owner drove the Hebmüller towards Cologne. Traugott drove home with the new owners oval beetle, which they picked up in Hessisch Oldendorf one week later. The current owner Autohaus Schultz in Düsseldorf restored the car in 2014. (CM)
