The first owner had a taxi business in Osnabrück. One of his best customers was Wilhelm Karmann senior. He drove Mr. Karmann as his chauffeur. He owned two type 14a Hebmüller convertibles. Because of his contacts to Karmann, he gave one of his Hebmüllers to the Karmann factory for restoration. This Hebmüller was restored by Karmann between 1970 and 1973. He drove the car after restoration just for 2 or 3 summers. After that he put the car in a heated garage. The grandson of the owner sold the car to the Grundmann family in 2013. Later, Christian Grundmann sold the car to Poland. Jacek Krajewski restored the car for the new owner till June 2024 (CM)
