There is not much history known on this one but it is however interesting. How this one ended up in the States is unknown. At a certain point, the Heb was a Penguin, Black with Ivory sides. As with most of the Hebs, a resto was needed so the car was dismantled. All the parts went in boxes and the body and floorpan got the needed attention. On older picts from the resto, we could hardly see a hand painted nr on the bulckhead as on Heb 316. Only the first digit "2" is visible. As time goes by, the Heb was restored complete and put in a private museum, hardly used. At a certain point, the Heb was offered for sale by the respeced Randy Carlsson. As for the new owner from Indonesia, and heaving 2 other Hebs, he used this one to be stationed in Europe so he can attend the shows with his own Heb. The most interesting thing on this Hebmüller is that the ID plate- Vin Tag was taken from the car for the resto years ago and was never put back on it. After the sale, we all toughed it was lost for ever but that was without Steve Dressler who hunted down the previous owner and the man who helped on the resto. Guess what? The vin tag was still in a box in the workshop and now it is in Steve's hand to be handed over to the owner soon. (PS)
